Bánk Lake is wonderful! It’s not by chance that we organize the Festival in Bánk. It is a really beautiful place and we feel connected to it. in many ways Environment is as important part of the festival as the visitors, thus we participate in it while all of us enjoy - including mother nature! We consider and prevent our effect on environment: we re-exchange glasses, collect trash selectively, we dont make vegetables be transported in vain into the kitchet, we take into consideration the life of the locals, at recycle material during the festival construction - just to mention a few examples. Oh, and whoever arrives by bike receives a bonus point!! Everyone is a minority
And this is absolutely OK. Here no-one will fight for changing, deciphering or explaining you! We spend this three days together to have fun in piece. Let’s talk about ourselves just how we feel like! Festival Together! There are so many festivals where the visitors has just one thing to do: to march up and consume! Thus we arrived to the conclusion to focus instead on real participation and involvement. This means that anyone can be a performer orf the festival, or can form the event, moreover, you can find yourself on stage if you dont watch out carefully! Of course there are other ways of participation than stage lights: you can exhibit your artworks, if you apply for the contest; you can be a performer, if you participate in the slam workshop, you can be our newsreader, journalist or volunteer, if you feel like that! But if you don’t want to do anything else just sunbathing on the beach, it is also absolutely OK! Organize the festival with us, be a volunteer!
Hungarian, Jewish, Gipsy, Slovakian, Gnawa, Bulgarian, Arabic, Balcan, Moldavian and world music, jazz, progressive electronic dance, hiphop, DJ-sets and classical music at four festival locations. Theatre at the whole area of the festival: in the woods, in the lake, in the bungalows - and beyond! Exhibitions, round table discussions, debates, lectures, movies, inter-faith programs, tale-house, children and family programs, bike and other sport programs, water and sunshine, hiking and anything that evolves on the spot! Unttil 15th June: one day ticket 2000 HUF, 4 days ticket 6000 HUF From 16th June till 26th July: one day ticket 2500 HUF, 4 days ticket 8000 HUF After 26th July: one day ticket 3500 HUF, 4 days ticket 11 000 HUF Locals can visit the festival free of charge.
