Children's drama
Participants of our workshop can get a first-hand experience in the methods of children's psychodrama. After the activity we'll summarize the main points of the approach, share our experiences, and present some drama techniques which are applicable for bigger groups (for example in nursery school, primary school classes). Besides all these, we'll try to answer any upcoming questions and are open to share ideas.
Children's drama is a group method, which usually involves 4-8 kids of the same age and two adult group leaders acting together. The aim is to solve children's behavioural and/or demeanor problems, to encourage harmonious identity development, and to facilitate their means of self expression as well as their ability to adapt.
Stimulating environment affects creativity, identity development, the alteration of self-image, and changes in behaviour. Due to the bettering of the mental pictures of themselves, the strengthening of their self-esteem, and letting them experience their own success, children can get more open and self-confident.
The approach applied in our country was invented by Hanna Kende. Methods are adjusted to the age and needs of children.
