Coming by train is nice, you can take your bike easily and see the nature from the train windows. If you come by train to Bánk, you need to change at Vác (Budapest – Vác, then Vác – Diósjenő). From Diósjenő you can either bike to Bánk, or you can take a bus.
Of course it’s also possible to bike to Bánk from Vác directly, but it’s not an easy land! Budapest – Vác Trains leave from Nyugati Railway Station, every day from 4 a.m., every 20 minutes. Last train departs at 23.41. Vác – Diósjenő Distance is 29 km, there is a little red train to Diósjenő in almost every hours. At the change you only have to wait for a few minutes. The first train leaves at 5.27 and the last one at 22.36. Diósjenő – Bánk Distance is 14 km, it’s a nice and not too difficult bike route. By bus you reach the city in 30 minutes.
